Improve Your Vision with LASIK

LASIK Surgery Lakewood

LASIK (Laser in-Situ Keratomileusis) combines the precision of the excimer laser delivery system with the benefits of Lamellar Keratoplasty (LK), proven to treat a wide range of refractive errors. Now, in it's second decade of use, the technically advanced Excimer laser has added a tremendous amount of precision, control and safety to the surgical correction of vision errors.

The Alcon LadarVision® is the most advanced form of Excimer laser. It has the ability to track eye movement 4000 times per second. It is a very refined process. How successful is the procedure?

The vast majority of people who undergo LASIK are able to pass a driver’s license test without their glasses or contacts. Since LASIK can be used to treat very high levels of refractive error, it is sometimes necessary to fine-tune the initial procedure with additional refractive procedures to obtain the best final result.

LASIK Common Questions:

How much does Lasik cost?

The LASIK procedure, including all of your preoperative testing and postoperative care for two years following the procedures is priced competitively within the Denver market. Dr. Campbell believes in making the procedure affordable for everyone and we offer a variety of payment options, including an extended payment plan. Call or e-mail us for more details.

Why should I choose Dr. Campbell?

Dr. Campbell has made a solid commitment to provide the best in refractive surgery to the citizens of Colorado. He has performed thousands of refractive surgeries, including delicate cataract surgery, which is more invasive and requires a fully competent surgeon. Dr. Campbell is the only doctor that you will need to see for the entire duration of your care, all at one facility. We do not believe in “farming” our patients out to other doctors to perform measurements and postoperative care. We have one of only 4 privately owned; FDA approved excimer lasers in Denver. Our fully adjustable microkeratome is one of only 2 in Colorado. Our facility features a state-of-the-art viewing theater, where you can watch actual procedures as they take place. We enjoy an extremely high level of patient satisfaction with the procedure, our staff, and our facility.

The ideal candidate?

In general, the ideal candidate for LASIK is over 21 years of age and has healthy corneas. Candidates must not have had a significant increase in their prescription in the last 12 months. People with certain medical conditions or women who are pregnant may not be good candidates for LASIK.

The first step

Finding out more about your refractive error is your first step toward visual independence. This is accomplished by calling our eye doctor and scheduling a personal consultation. Should your refractive error fall within the range of correction for LASIK, more comprehensive tests will be necessary.
